Ranked #1 by Dr. Beach and the most popular of Sarasota's beaches, this is a must visit!  The 99% powdery and soft quartz sand is cool to the touch and bright and beautiful.  The beach park offers a pavilion with facilities, tennis and volleyball courts, rentals and lifeguard on duty.  There's an abundance of parking, however due to its popularity, in-season you are going to be challenged to find a spot!

South Siesta Beach, Siesta Key, FL 34242

This beach is shaped in an arch, hence the name.  It's lined with condominiums and does not have any public facilities to offer. There are a limited number of parking and ingress areas and is most used by visitors staying at the accommodations on the beach or by those who traverse from the main Siesta Beach area.  At the southern base of Crescent Beach is Pointe of Rocks which borders private property and is not easy to get to.

Found at the southern tip of Siesta Key, Turtle Beach is great for picnicking, camping, kayaking and fishing.  The sand is a bit more granular and darker compared to Siesta Beach.  It's a great spot for more of an old Sarasota feel and doesn't have the same hustle and commercial feel as the beaches to the north.

The more popular Venice area beach offering a pavilion with facilities, volleyball courts and lifeguard on duty.  Venice Beach is nearly 3 miles long with 3 parking lots.

4100 So. Harborside Dr., Venice, FL, 34285

This beach is best known for shelling and its abundance of shark teeth.  The beach is about a mile and a half long with a quartz and shell texture.

400 Ben Franklin Dr., Sarasota, FL, 34236

The main beach area features a pavilion with snack bar, tables and showers.  This beach is great for dolphin viewing.  Be careful of the rip currents.  The north end features a nature trail and the south end features canoe/kayak launch area.
